Who are we?
PlanetPromise is a student-led startup founded by high school entrepreneurs through our school’s Business INCubator program. We are a team of students who care deeply about sustainability and believe everyday products should have better environmental outcomes. Our goal is to create practical, affordable alternatives that make it easier for households, schools, and businesses to reduce long-lasting plastic waste without changing their daily routines.
Why we started PlanetPromise
PlanetPromise began in our school lunchrooms. Every day, we saw large numbers of plastic sandwich bags being thrown away after a single use. When we looked into what happens next, we learned that each of those bags can remain in a landfill for decades, if not centuries.

That led us to focus on landfill biodegradable alternatives designed to break down much faster in landfill conditions, starting with the products people already use every day like food and garbage bags.
